Pride Weekend – Part 1
“You don’t have to be gay to sing on this chorus … but it helps.”
This is maybe the first exposure I had to homosexuality in pop culture, on the “Secret Policeman’s Ball” record in support of Amnesty International. I bought the record to get the live acoustic versions of two Who songs, and got this Tom Robinson song too, and had no idea how to understand it. But it stuck in my mind, and like the best art, started to change how I looked at the world.
